Anchorages in Florida

While staying in pensacola we anchored out in the bay behind Pensacola Shipyard. The boat ramp had public bathrooms but the security frowns upon allowing dingies on their dock so be cautious if you want to use their facilities or get snacks from their vending machine. They do leave their bathrooms open over night.

Another great anchorage is at Fort Mcree . This island has a military history that is a blast to explore. Not only is it a beautifully protected beach but it also allows you access to an underground fort that is great for photographers! There is plenty of safe anchorages in this area! We have a deeper boat so we have to be more careful about anchoring around here but there are three main anchorages (here) If you anchor near the City marina you they have docks for dingies and is close by to grocery stores and shopping centers.
